Apaleo in Munich is hiring a Senior Product Manager - Fiscal to own end-to-end delivery of fiscal product streams, ensuring API-first architecture and strong collaboration with engineering. You will translate roadmaps into concrete work, balance regulatory needs, and drive compliance across markets.

The role demands deep ownership, sharp prioritisation, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with opportunities to expand into new country launches.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years' experience as a Product Manager in a fast-moving startup or scale-up.
• Strong execution mindset with ownership of your product area.
• Comfort working with API-first, technically detailed products.
• Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Sharp prioritisation instincts.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end delivery of one or two product crews within the fiscal and legal domain (e.g., invoicing or taxation).
• Translate roadmap priorities into clear, well-scoped work for engineering teams.
• Balance planned delivery with regulatory and reactive work to stay compliant in launched markets.
• Write clear specs and define done criteria; perform impact analysis to prevent gaps.
• Collaborate with engineering as a technical partner on an API-first architecture.
• Shield the team from noise to maintain delivery velocity.
• Partner with customer success, compliance, and engineering to translate needs into shippable work.
• Support faster country launches and expand to more markets.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager - Fiscal (f/m/d) to help us makeApaleocompliant, fast, wherever we grow next. You'llown the delivery of features that keep our platform compliant across markets, working closely with a Senior ProductManagementLeadwho sets the strategic direction for the wider fiscal and tax domain.

What You'll Be Up To

• Owning theend to enddelivery of one or two product crews within the fiscal and legal domain, for example invoicing or taxation.

• Turning roadmap priorities into clear, well scoped work your engineering team can execute against.

• Balancing planned roadmap delivery with the steady stream of regulatory and reactive work that comes with keepingApaleocompliant in marketswe'vealready launched.

• Writing clear specs, defining what done looks like and following through on impact analysis so nothing falls through the cracks.

• Working shoulder to shoulder with engineering as a technical partner.You'llget into the detail of our API-first architecture rather than handing off a ticket and waiting.

• Shielding your team from noise and distractions so they can focus on what matters, whilst keeping delivery predictable.

• Partnering with customer success,complianceand engineering stakeholders to understandwhat'sneeded and translate it into shippable work.

• Helping the team move faster on new country launches, contributing to our ambition of makingApaleocompliant in many more markets over the next few years.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• At least 3 to 4 years' experience as a Product Manager, ideally inafat movingstartup or scale up environment.

• A strong execution mindset.You'reenergised by shipping, not just planning, and you take ownership of your product area without needing to behand held.

• Comfort working with technical, API-first products. You can talk architecture with engineers, challenge theirthinkingand understand whatyou'reshipping in real depth.

• Sharp prioritisation instincts. You know how to sequence work, say no togood ideasthataren'tgreat ones, and keep a team focused day to day.

• A genuine curiosity for complex domains. You dig into the details rather than staying at the surface, andyou'renot afraid of a codebase with some history to it.

• Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Extra Awesome Points For

• Experience with fiscal, tax or legal compliance topics, for example in fintech,e-commerceor ERP systems. This is a genuine nice to have, not a requirement.

• Familiarity with platform products where you expose APIs for others to build on.
