Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Senior Product Application Engineer to develop advanced solutions for complex customer requirements, ensuring manufacturability and competitive quotations.

You will collaborate across Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing and Customer Service to translate needs into designs, BOMs and technical documentation, while leading cross-functional projects and driving continuous improvement using structured methodologies like 8D and FRACAS.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in product engineering, application engineering, or a similar role in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of CAD, drawings, BOM management, and technical documentation.

• Translate customer needs into product designs, engineering documentation, specifications, and quotations with appropriate tools.

• Support quotation and part activation processes by creating BOMs, calculating costs, evaluating product fit, and contributing to pricing decisions.
• Act as a technical SME, providing engineering support and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Drive continuous improvement through structured methodologies such as 8D, FRACAS, and Fault Tree Analysis.

At Danfoss Power Solutions, we are looking for a technically skilled and customer-oriented Senior Product Application Engineer to develop advanced engineering solutions supporting customer applications, business growth, and product competitiveness within the Fluid Conveyance Division.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering expertise, customer collaboration, and commercial application development, with a strong focus on translating customer requirements into manufacturing solutions, optimizing product fit, and supporting successful quotations.

You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams, acting as a key technical partner in complex projects, customer applications, and new business opportunities.

This is a high-impact engineering role with strong technical ownership, visibility across functions, and the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions that strengthen Danfoss’s market position.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead cross-functional projects, collaborating with Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Support quotation and part activation processes by creating BOMs, calculating costs, evaluating product fit, and contributing to competitive pricing decisions.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing engineering support, problem-solving expertise, and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, FRACAS, and Fault Tree Analysis.

What We’re Looking For

• Educational Background in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in product engineering, application engineering, or a similar technical role within a structured industrial environment, preferably in an international organization.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, product development processes, and customer application requirements.
• Experience with CAD tools (2D/3D modeling), engineering drawings, BOM management, and technical documentation.
• Ability to lead complex projects and collaborate effectively across multiple functions, locations, and regions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience applying structured methodologies such as 8D, FRACAS, or Fault Tree Analysis.
• Proficiency in English communication; experience with SAP, Teamcenter, Salesforce, and MS Office is considered an advantage.
