We now have an opportunity to recruit a Manufacturing System and Solution Consultant to join the EMEA region within Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS) Global Operations (GOPS). As an integral part of the manufacturing delivery team, you will work alongside a highly skilled team of global solution architects and designers, innovating the technology and MFG systems used to build sustainable smart solutions that power industries and cities.

As a member of GOPS Manufacturing Systems and Services, you will work with business stakeholders to troubleshoot incidents, resolve problems, gather requirements, and implement technical system solutions. Stakeholders typically include Manufacturing Engineers, Process Technicians, Equipment Operators, and leadership. To improve safety, quality, and productivity, technical solutions range from standard PC hardware with commercially available software to purpose‑built MES systems with custom hardware and software. This role requires researching new systems, applying existing standards, and creating documentation. Understanding the manufacturing shop floor landscape and execution layers (ISA95) is essential.

Location: This role requires a base at one of our main manufacturing plants in EMEA such as Nordborg (Denmark), Neumünster (Germany), or Povaszka (Slovakia), with up to 40 days travel per year anticipated.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide in‑person and remote support for the enhancement, development, implementation, migration, and upgrade of manufacturing systems and services.
• Create documentation for installation, support, and training purposes.
• Work across multiple IT groups to deliver solutions within manufacturing.
• Develop and share best practices related to industry knowledge, technology relevance, and target solutions.
• Engage with local leadership regularly to foster positive, cross‑functional relationships with IT and non‑IT colleagues.
• Support the integration of MES, HMI, and ERP solutions.
• Provide on‑call support as required.
• Initiate and take on processes/solutions to improve team performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualification within a Manufacturing or Information Technology discipline, with a demonstrable track record of success in supporting manufacturing/shop floor systems.
• Familiarity with ISA‑95 and ITIL models and concepts.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar development tools.
• Proficiency in C#, VB, .NET web services/framework, or experience with PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Basic SSRS and SQL database knowledge; Oracle database familiarity is a plus but not required.
• Proficient with MSSQL, TSQL, stored procedures, and indexing.
• Experience working with networking, server, and local site service teams.
• Strong working knowledge of current operating systems, IT hardware, and networking concepts.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to offer technical education to peers and leadership.
