You will collaborate with customers, sales and internal engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions, support product evaluations, and assist with demonstrations and technical discussions.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• Proven experience in an Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, Field Engineering or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts into customer solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel across the EMEA region as required.

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global technology organisation for an Application Engineer to provide technical expertise and customer support throughout the sales and product lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, customer-focused engineer to work closely with customers, sales and internal engineering teams to develop effective technical solutions and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and application expertise to customers across the EMEA region.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
• Work closely with sales teams to support customer engagements, presentations, demonstrations and technical discussions.
• Develop application solutions, technical proposals and proof-of-concept activities.
• Support product evaluations, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Work with R&D and product teams to communicate customer feedback and help drive product improvements.
• Provide technical training and guidance to customers and partners where required.
• Support new business development by identifying application opportunities and demonstrating the value of the technology.
• Represent the organisation at customer meetings, industry events and technical conferences.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical point of contact.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in an Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, Field Engineering or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of complex technology products and the ability to translate technical concepts into customer solutions.
• Experience working with customers to understand requirements, troubleshoot technical issues and deliver solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively across sales, engineering, R&D and product teams.
• Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
• Fluent English; additional European languages would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across the EMEA region as required.
