Job summary

Da Vinci Engineering GmbH in Frankfurt am Main seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist (m/f/d) to manage indirect procurement for R&D and functional teams, driving value creation and cost reduction.

You will lead sourcing projects, negotiate high-value contracts, optimize SAP/ERP processes, and support ERP rollouts, while mentoring junior colleagues and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree with business or technical focus.
• 5–7+ years purchasing experience.
• Experience with complex sourcing projects.
• Fluent German and English.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Key Stakeholder & Supplier Management for R&D and functional departments.
• Lead high-value sourcing and negotiations for optimal terms.
• Develop local sourcing strategies and decision frameworks.
• Operate SAP/ERP systems to ensure compliant ordering.
• Contribute to ERP implementations and process templates.

Your tasks:

• Key Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Handle complex indirect procurement requirements from R&D and functional departments, acting as a key partner for strategic suppliers
• High-Value Sourcing & Negotiations: Lead complex sourcing projects, manage high-volume baskets, and drive price/contract negotiations to achieve optimal commercial conditions
• Strategy & Sourcing Frameworks: Develop local sourcing strategies and decision frameworks for strategic cost reduction and value creation
• Compliant Execution: Operate and optimize procurement systems (SAP/ERP) to ensure fully compliant ordering processes
• Procurement Transformation & Special Topics: Contribute to and drive dedicated sub-projects to en hance procurement efficiency (e.g., supporting ERP implementation/rollouts, drafting process templates, and refining guidelines)
• Management Relief & Escalations: Act as a first escalation point for operational issues and provide direct support/deputization for the Head of Procurement as required
• Operational Coordination (Optional / On Demand): Depending on capacity and project needs, option to support the functional coordination of day-to-day operations and provide guidance to junior team members

Your profile:

• Degree with business or technical focus or comparable qualification
• 5-7+ years of purchasing experience; automotive industry experience is a plus
• Proven track record in handling complex sourcing projects, strategic negotiations, and high spend volumes
• Solid experience or strong interest in project management (e.g., ERP rollouts, process design)
• Firm experience with MS Office, SAP is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills
• Advanced analytical, negotiation, and change-management skills
• Good German and English skills
