Da Vinci Engineering GmbH is seeking a Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) – Automotive to lead development projects at Mainz location. You will oversee multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with commercial goals.

The role requires an engineering degree and several years of experience in engine and powertrain development projects, with fluent German and English and strong leadership and communication capabilities.

Your tasks:

• Take operational responsibility for managing multiple development projects
• Lead and coordinate application projects while ensuring commercial and business objectives are achieved
• Ensure the efficient execution of day‑to‑day project operations, including resource planning, task prioritisation and close coordination with the Project Operations Manager, Project Managers and Technical Team Leads
• Plan, manage and deliver projects in close collaboration with our customers
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, defined processes and quality standards
• Present project progress and project results to customers
• Identify opportunities for process, resource and project workflow improvements and drive their implementation
• Take over operational project responsibilities in critical project situations to ensure successful project delivery

Your profile:

• Successfully completed a university degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable discipline
• Several years of experience managing development projects in the fields of internal combustion engines and powertrain systems, for example as a Senior Project Manager or in a comparable position
• Strong business acumen combined with a structured, analytical and solution‑oriented approach to work
• Experience working closely with senior management and executive leadership
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, assertiveness and a strong team‑oriented mindset
