PORR is expanding its data centre activities and seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy for large data centre construction projects in Berlin. The role focuses on governance, risk, commercial alignment, and support to project delivery.

You will lead procurement for major subcontract packages and long‑lead equipment, oversee supplier engagement, tenders, and contract risk, and mentor procurement staff within a global construction group.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10 years’ procurement experience in construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in data centre, mission-critical, industrial, energy, or MEP-heavy projects strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, long-lead equipment, supplier risk, and negotiation.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of contract risk.
• Fluency in English; German or Polish language skills advantageous.

PORR is expanding its data centre activities and is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy for large data centre construction projects. The role is responsible for procurement governance, risk, commercial alignment, and support to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of project procurement strategy and procurement governance
• Development of the package procurement plan with commercial, technical, planning, and project teams
• Management of procurement for major subcontract packages and long‑lead equipment
• Leadership of supplier engagement, tender strategy, negotiation, and recommendation for award
• Coordination of procurement risk management for programme‑critical packages
• Management of procurement reporting, approval routes, tender audit trail, and supplier performance monitoring
• Collaboration with Legal and Commercial teams on terms, risk allocation, and contract conditions
• Support of value engineering, alternative sourcing, and supplier diversification
• Escalation of procurement issues affecting cost, schedule, quality, commissioning, or handover
• Mentoring of Procurement Managers, Buyers, and Procurement Specialists

Qualifications

• Degree in procurement, supply chain, commercial management, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years’ procurement experience in construction or engineering projects
• Experience in data centre, mission‑critical, industrial, energy, or MEP‑heavy projects strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, long‑lead equipment, supplier risk, and negotiation
• Experience with MEP packages such as switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, transformers, or BMS desirable
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of contract risk
• Fluency in English; German or Polish language skills advantageous
