Zusammenfassung

PORR is expanding its data center activities and seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy for large data center construction projects. You will drive governance, cost control, risk management, and supplier engagement across multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires extensive experience in data center or similar mission-critical environments, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English. German or Polish language skills are advantageous.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in procurement, supply chain, commercial management, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' procurement experience in construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, industrial, energy, or MEP-heavy projects strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, long-lead equipment, supplier risk, and negotiation.
• Experience with MEP packages such as switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, transformers, or BMS desirable.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of contract risk.
• Fluency in English; German or Polish language skills advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Lead project procurement strategy and procurement governance.
• Develop the package procurement plan with commercial, technical, planning, and project teams.
• Manage procurement for major subcontract packages and long-lead equipment.
• Lead supplier engagement, tender strategy, negotiation, and recommendation for award.
• Coordinate procurement risk management for programme-critical packages.
• Manage procurement reporting, approval routes, tender audit trail, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Legal and Commercial teams on terms, risk allocation, and contract conditions.
• Support value engineering, alternative sourcing, and supplier diversification.
• Escalate procurement issues affecting cost, schedule, quality, commissioning, or handover.
• Mentor Procurement Managers, Buyers, and Procurement Specialists.
