Job summary

emagine is seeking Senior Offshore Wind Turbine Technicians to service and maintain offshore wind turbines (WTGs) and Balance of Plant (BoP) at DanTysk and Sandbank Windfarms. You will work under supervision to perform maintenance, repairs, and occasional upgrades, following company procedures and safety rules.

Requirements include a technical education or proven experience in electrical or mechanical work, several years on Siemens G4 or G2 platforms, offshore experience, and strong English

Qualifications

• Experience on Siemens G4 platform or Siemens G2 platform is required.
• Offshore wind turbine service experience preferred.
• Proficient in English; German is a plus.
• Willingness to work 14-day offshore shifts.
• Strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We’re hiring Senior Offshore Wind Turbine Technicians to perform service and maintain our offshore wind turbines (WTGs) and Balance of Plant (BoP), including Foundations, at DanTysk and Sandbank Windfarms.

The Senior Offshore Wind Turbine Technicians will perform maintenance and repairs on wind turbines and their foundations under the supervision and support of an experienced team lead.

This involves, among other actions, adhering to Vattenfall's instructions and documentation:

• Conduct annual WTG maintenance services (e.g. measuring, testing, sampling, visual checks/inspections, routine replacements, cleaning, bolt tightening)
• Conduct any un-routine corrective actions (i.e. replacements) for both basic and complex components, based on potential issues arising from prior maintenance or initially planned for.
• Conduct additional services - minor upgrades or updates (i.e. retrofits)
• Report findings of the need for corrective actions (immediate or foreseeable)
• Conduct annual foundation maintenance services (e.g. measuring, testing, sampling, visual checks/inspections, routine replacements, cleaning, bolt tightening)
• Conduct Visual Inspections of TP-MP flange bolts
• Conduct any un-routine replacements or repairs (e.g. minor corrections like replacing missing bolts or spot repair of coating), based on potential issues arising from previous actions.
• Perform general repair jobs following Vattenfall’s instructions and documentation.

Key Requirements

• Proven education or professional experience in technical, electrical, or mechanical works
• Minimum three years’ service experience limited to the works on the Siemens G4 platform; alternatively experienced with Siemens G2 2.3 MW platform
• Experience in servicing and repairing Offshore WTG systems or products from SABIK, Corrosion Control, Benning, and Repacor is beneficial
• Education as an Electrical skilled person (Elekrofachkraft) is advantageous
• Experience with Wind Turbine Safety Rules or comparable Safe Systems of work is advantageous
• Experience in the roles of Authorized Technicians or Competent Technicians is advantageous
• Willingness to work shifts and offshore (14 days shift)
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required; knowledge of German is considered an advantage
• Proven experience as a crane operator or training as an Offshore crane operator is advantageous
• A strong focus on safety and eagerness to learn and develop in an experienced team

Other Details

Work locations include DanTysk and Sandbank Windfarms with base ports in Nordenham and Esbjerg (DK) for offshore accommodation activities. Base port in Nordenham may change based on operational needs.
