You will autonomously build media relations, manage events, draft communications, and coordinate with journalists, policymakers, and stakeholders across national and European levels.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain relationships with national, regional, and specialist media in Germany.
• Identify and secure media opportunities to raise visibility.
• Monitor political, economic, and media developments in Germany.
• Coordinate interviews, press briefings, and background discussions for senior representatives.
• Draft and edit press releases, statements, talking points, speeches, and op-eds.
• Support the development and implementation of strategic communication plans.
• Prepare policy briefings, stakeholder notes, key messages, and background documentation ahead of meetings.
• Ensure messaging consistency across channels.
• Contribute content for digital and social platforms.
• Build and maintain a network among journalists, policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and civil society.
• Represent client at conferences and external engagements.
• Lead planning and execution of high-profile events and launches.
• Coordinate event logistics, speakers, stakeholder outreach, materials, media participation.

As a Senior Media Manager, you will support our client in strengthening its visibility, reputation, and strategic positioning in Germany, with a particular focus on supporting the activities and public profile of one of our client.

Working with a high degree of autonomy and based in Berlin, you will act as a key communications, media relations, and networking focal point. You will identify opportunities to enhance our client's presence among media, policymakers, stakeholders, and the wider public while ensuring consistent and impactful communication of the Group's priorities and activities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and specialist media across Germany.
• Identify and secure media opportunities to increase the visibility of our client and its initiatives.
• Monitor political, economic, and media developments in Germany and identify relevant communication opportunities.
• Coordinate interviews, media briefings, press engagements, and background discussions for senior representatives.
• Draft and edit press releases, media statements, talking points, speeches, op-eds, and briefing materials.
• Support the development and implementation of strategic communication plans.
• Prepare policy briefings, stakeholder notes, key messages, and background documentation ahead of meetings and public appearances.
• Ensure consistency of messaging across all communication channels and stakeholder interactions.
• Contribute content for digital and social media platforms.
• Build and maintain a strong network among journalists, policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and civil society organizations.
• Represent our client at conferences, policy discussions, networking events, and external engagements when required.
• Lead the planning and execution of high-profile events, conferences, roundtables, project launches, and stakeholder engagements.
• Coordinate event logistics, speakers, stakeholder outreach, communication materials, and media participation.

Technical skills:

• Strong expertise in media relations, public affairs, and strategic communications.
• Excellent speechwriting, editorial, and content development capabilities.
• Experience preparing executive communications and stakeholder engagement materials.
• Proven ability to organize and manage high-level events involving senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of German, European, and international political and policy environments.
• Experience managing media networks and stakeholder mapping.
• Proficiency with digital communication and social media platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.

Profile:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, European Affairs, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field.
• Significant professional experience in communications, media relations, public affairs, or political communications.
• Strong and established network within the German media landscape, particularly in Berlin.
• Proven experience supporting senior executives, political leaders, or high-level institutional representatives.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to provide strategic insight and recommendations.
• Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
