Harvey Nash is recruiting a Communications Manager (f/m/d) for a leading online travel marketplace in Berlin. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape and execute communications strategies, manage media relations, and protect the brand in the region.

You will respond to media inquiries, develop proactive press narratives around current events, corporate announcements, and influencer campaigns, and coordinate with agencies to deliver results.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of experience in communications or related field.
• Strong knowledge of regional media and influencer landscapes.
• Excellent media relations with established press contacts.
• Proven track record in proactive and reactive media handling.
• Fluent in English and German; otherCEE languages a plus.
• Experience in fast-paced travel/tech PR is a plus.

For our client, a well-known online marketplace for the travel industry, we are looking for a Communications Manager (f/m/d) in Berlin.

• Work with cross functional teams to execute the communications plan to help make the company one of the most positively talked about brands in the country.
• Build and execute key consumer, product, influencer and corporate initiatives and communications strategies that enhance and protect the company’s reputation in the region.
• Respond reactively to media inquiries across the region, working across departments to effectively tell our story.
• Proactively develop and shape our narrative in the press including editorial connected to current events; corporate announcements; consumer, lifestyle, pop culture; and reputation.
• Support in managing PR agencies effectively to deliver outstanding results on behalf of the business.
• Engage and secure talent, influencers and creators for campaigns built for the market.
• Work autonomously with minimal managerial oversight but with strong instincts on when to elevate.

Your profile

• 4+ or more years of experience in communications or a related field.
• A strong understanding of the regional media and influencer landscapes.
• A skilled media relations practitioner with excellent and well maintained media contacts.
• A demonstrative ability to conduct media relations - including a proven track record of working with press, proactively and reactively.
• An eye for what makes a compelling story with your finger on the pulse of what’s driving stories in press and on social media.
• Calm and effective in a crisis and adaptable to change.
• Creative and strategic thinker – a go-getter who brings a positive outlook to work.
• Excellent writing and strong verbal communications skills - fluent in English and German are required, with additional CEE languages considered as a plus.
• Experience working on projects in a fast paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A passion for travel, tech, current events, and pop culture.

For this role the working contract is done through our agency and is fixed on 12 months with option to be extended/take over.
