We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Integrated Communications and ESG to help shape and deliver communications activities across CMS and support CMS's ESG programme.

The role combines strategic communications, executive visibility, content creation and digital storytelling. The successful candidate will develop compelling narratives that strengthen the CMS brand, support senior leaders and engage audiences across multiple channels and formats.

This is a hands-on role for a creative communicator who enjoys turning complex topics into clear, engaging content. The role requires strong editorial judgement, experience with digital formats such as video and podcasts, and a deep understanding of how to use communication channels effectively to reach different audiences.

The successful candidate will also be curious about emerging technologies, with first experience in integrating AI tools into communication workflows, content development and audience engagement.

Alongside overseeing integrated communications activities, the role manages sustainability initiatives and communicates ESG achievements to internal and external audiences. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders across CMS to ensure ESG initiatives are implemented and communicated clearly and consistently.

The role is a 2 years fixed-term maternity cover and can be based in Frankfurt or Warsaw.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Strategic communications

• Ensure consistency of messaging, tone and brand across all communication activities
• Develop and manage integrated communications programmes that support CMS strategic priorities, combining multiple channels and formats to maximise audience engagement
• Provide strategic communications advice to senior stakeholders and project teams
• Identify and act on opportunities to strengthen the profile and reputation of CMS globally
• Support reputation management and crisis communications activities when required

Creative storytelling and content creation

• Develop compelling stories that bring CMS strategy, expertise and achievements to life
• Plan, research and create high-quality content in a range of formats, including videos, podcasts, digital campaigns and social media content
• Translate complex topics into engaging and audience-focused content

Executive visibility, thought leadership and content

• Help shape leadership narratives around key strategic themes and priorities
• Support senior leaders in media, events, social media and other visibility opportunities

Innovation and AI-enabled communications

• Explore and introduce innovative approaches to communications using emerging technologies
• Identify opportunities to use AI tools to improve content creation, audience insights, campaign effectiveness and communications processes
• Understand the ESG agenda and keep track of key ESG developments and their implications for CMS, sharing this knowledge with relevant stakeholders
• Develop and manage ESG projects in close consultation with CMS firms
• Produce internal and external communications to ensure ESG programmes and activities across the firm are communicated clearly and effectively
• Support ESG measurement and reporting activities, including the UN Global Compact Communication on Progress report

Qualifications and requirements

• Extensive experience in communications, public relations or corporate communications roles, with proven experience in developing and delivering integrated communications campaigns
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with English at native-speaker level
• Experience in creating content across multiple formats, including video, podcasts and digital media
• Strong understanding of communications channels, audience engagement and digital communications best practices
• Experience in supporting senior leaders and developing executive communications
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in working in complex international environments
• Strong curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, with an interest in their practical application to communications
• Experience in supporting ESG, sustainability or corporate responsibility programmes
• Experience in contributing to ESG reporting, disclosures or related communications
