Job summary

Nordex Group invites a Senior Load Calculation Engineer to join the Load Calculation Sites team in Hamburg. You will perform aeroelastic simulations and maintain models for site-specific assessments across lifecycle stages, from design to service.

The role requires 8+ years in aeroelastic loads, strong Python/MATLAB skills, and experience with Bladed, Alaska, HAWC2, and Flex5. Travel availability is expected and English fluency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics (or similar).
• Complementary training in Bladed, Alaska, HAWC2, Flex5, Python, MATLAB. Applied AI methodologies (ML, NN...).
• +8 years in loads, control, aeroelastic simulation, site suitability or data analytics.
• Professional level of English; Spanish/German are nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Perform aeroelastic simulations (load calculations) for site-specific suitability assessment.

• Maintain, update, model and validate aeroelastic models from legacy platforms according to latest state-of-the-art
• Analyzing site condition impacts on loads, components and controller behavior.
• Evaluating component sensitivity to site-driven variations
• Support definition, calibration, and verification of control strategies.
• Contribute to methodology and toolchain improvements.
• Generate technical reports and documentation.
• Support certification, design updates, and claims investigations.

YOUR PROFILE:
