Job summary

Pierburg GmbH in Neuss sucht eine erfahrene IT-Service- und Anwendungsmanagement-Führungskraft zur Entwicklung und Steuerung der Anwendungsstrategie.Sie arbeiten eng mit Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastruktur und externen Partnern zusammen, um Architekturstandards, Sicherheitsanforderungen und Kosteneffizienz sicherzustellen.

Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören Betriebsverantwortung, Lifecycle-Management, SLA- und Release-Management, sowie die Führung von DevOps-Teams und CAB-Prozessen.

Qualifications

• Abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium in Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik oder vergleichbarem Feld.
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Application- oder IT-Service-Management in internationalen bzw. multi-site Umgebungen.
• Kenntnisse in ITIL/Service-Management, Lifecycle-Tools, Cloud-native Anwendungen, SaaS-Management, Integrationsmustern und Monitoring/Observability.
• Zertifizierungen wie ITIL Practitioner, PMP/Prince2; relevante Cloud-Zertifizierungen vorteilhaft.
• Englisch fließend; Deutschkenntnisse wünschenswert, aber nicht zwingend.

Responsibilities

• Strategische Abstimmung: Entwicklung und Umsetzung der Anwendungsstrategie, Investitionspriorisierung, Harmonisierung der Anwendungslandschaft.
• Operative Zuverlässigkeit: Verfügbarkeit, Performance, Release- und Change-Management sowie Incident-Management.
• Application Lifecycle Management: Implementierung, Wartung, Versionierung, Patch- und End-of-Life-Planung.
• Service Management: Verantwortung für SLAs, Betriebsmodelle, Runbooks und kontinuierliche Prozessverbesserung.
• Team-Orchestration: Koordination von Application-Managern, Support- und DevOps-Teams; CAB-Prozess.
• Governance & Architecture Alignment: Zusammenarbeit mit EA, Security, Infrastructure, Vendoren; Standardisierung & Reporting.
• Sourcing & Vendor Management: Überwachung externer Serviceprovider, Verträge, Leistung und Third-Party Risks.
• Finance & Reporting: Budgetverantwortung, Kostenverfolgung, Investitions-Showcases und Berichte.

• Strategic Alignment: Develop and drive the application strategy, prioritizing investments and aligning them with corporate goals, as well as harmonizing the application landscape and introducing innovations to the business. Regular strategic dialogue with the application owners.
• Operational Reliability: Ensuring availability, performance, release management, change management, and incident management for all critical applications. Oversee service continuity management for the application landscape.
• Application Lifecycle Management: Overseeing implementation, maintenance, versioning, patch management, and end-of-life planning.
• Service Management: Responsibility for provider SLAs, operating models, runbooks, and continuous improvement of the support organization.
• Team Orchestration: Orchestrating application managers, support, and DevOps teams for business-owned applications; Managing the implementation of new application. Coordinate the CAB process.
• Governance and Architecture Alignment: Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Vendor teams to ensure applications comply with architecture standards and security requirements. Drive standardization across business units and locations. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, this role ensures application lifecycle decisions, vendor-delivered services, and application roadmaps align with the organization's target architecture and strategic objectives.
• Sourcing and Vendor Management: Overseeing external service providers, monitoring contracts and performance, and managing third-party risks. In collaboration with Service Delivery Management.
• Finance and Reporting: Budget responsibility, cost tracking, investment business cases, and regular reporting to IT leadership.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a comparable field.
• Experience: Several years of progressive, experience in Application or IT Service Management experience in international or multi-site environments is desirable.
• Technical Knowledge: ITIL/service management frameworks, application lifecycle tools, cloud-native applications, SaaS management, integration patterns, and monitoring/observability.
• Certifications: ITIL Practitioner, PMP/Prince2; relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
• Language Skills: Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential. German language skills are beneficial but not mandatory
• Stakeholder Management: Confident communication with business units, the CIO's office, and external partners. Demonstrated ability to influence decisions across organizational boundaries.
• Operational Excellence: Focus on process optimization, automation, and service quality.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align application roadmaps with business strategies.
