Deutsche Grammophon (DG) seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer for the STAGE streaming platform, based at our Berlin headquarters. This permanent full-time role is embedded in the Frontend team and reports to the Director of Engineering Streaming Platform.

You will strengthen the WebApp, ship features from idea to production, and shape the app architecture while collaborating with iOS/Android/Smart TV teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful, user-focused experiences.

• Proficient with modern web tech stack (TS/JS, React, Next.js) and web fundamentals.
• Experience building scalable frontends with attention to code quality, testing and maintainability.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders; comfortable across teams.

It will be a permanent full-time position embedded in our Frontend team, with close collaboration across Product and Engineering, reporting to our Director of Engineering Streaming Platform.

Your gig:

• Strengthen our WebApp / Frontend team as a product-minded technical contributor
• Build and ship impactful features for our streaming platform --- from idea and prototype to production
• Shape and co-own our WebApp, from landing pages to the streaming player and beyond
• Turn stakeholder needs into pragmatic, scalable and user-focused technical solutions
• Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the long-term evolution of our platform
• Use AI, automation and lightweight tooling to simplify workflows and improve how we work
• Support tracking and analytics solutions at the intersection of frontend, product and business needs
• Collaborate closely across Engineering and with our iOS, Android and Smart TV teams, sharing knowledge and contributing to a self-organized, pragmatic engineering culture

We are keen to jam with you if you:

• Have a solid engineering background, ideally with modern web technologies such as TypeScript/JavaScript, React, NextJS and Web APIs
• Can build, configure, connect, test and ship useful software without overcomplicating things
• Have a good grasp of software engineering fundamentals and code quality practices such as component-driven development, testing, maintainability and avoid premature abstraction; ideally you are also experienced with CI/CD, observability and cloud environments
• Are curious and practical about AI, automation and internal tooling, and know how to turn promising ideas into useful workflows
• Can analyze ambiguous problems, ask good questions and shape pragmatic solutions
• Can communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Feel confident reading, writing and speaking English and can communicate efficiently in technical as well as business-related contexts; German skills are a plus, but the willingness to learn the language is a must
