Zusammenfassung

FRASER invites applications for a senior finance role to lead the company’s financial operations from its Berlin hub. You will manage reporting, budgeting, cash flow and coordination with international accounting partners across Germany, Switzerland, South Africa and Dubai.

The role requires a finance-focused degree, 5+ years of experience in finance, strong German accounting knowledge and fluency in English. A fast-paced, international, entrepreneurial environment awaits.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years in finance, accounting, controlling or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of German accounting, bookkeeping and regulations.
• Experience with vorbereitender Buchhaltung and PO coordination with external accountants.
• Experience in a creative/agency environment is a strong advantage.
• Experience with international entities is a plus.
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
• Fluent English; German proficiency essential.

Aufgaben

• Take ownership of the finance function across FRASER, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient day-to-day operations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial analyses.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payment runs, reconciliations and liquidity planning.
• Coordinate preparation of bookkeeping with external accounting partners.
• Work with external accounting firms in Germany, Switzerland, South Africa and Dubai.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities with external accountants and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with German accounting, tax and statutory requirements across locations.
• Collaborate with Managing Directors on budgeting, forecasting, profitability and business performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Grow the finance function with potential to become Head of Finance.

Your role

• Take ownership of the finance function across FRASER, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient day-to-day financial operations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial analyses to support business decisions.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payment runs, reconciliations and liquidity planning.
• Coordinatethepreparationofbookkeeping(Vorbereitende Buchhaltung), ensuring invoices, purchase orders and supporting documentation are complete and accurate before submission to external accounting partners.
• Work closely with our external accounting firms in Germany, Switzerland, South Africa and Dubai, ensuring smooth collaboration and timely financial processes.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities together with external accountants and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with German accounting, tax and statutory requirements while supporting finance processes across our international locations.
• Collaborate closely with the Managing Directors and Founder on budgeting, forecasting, profitability and business performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and operational efficiency.
• Help build and scale the finance function, with the opportunity to grow into the Head of Finance role as the company continues to expand.

Your profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, controlling or financial management.
• Strong understanding of German accounting, bookkeeping and financial regulations.
• Experience with vorbereitender Buchhaltung, including invoice verification, purchase order management and coordination with external accountants.
• Previous experience within a creative agency, marketing agency or professional services environment is a strongadvantage.
• Experience working with multiple international entities is a plus.
• Excellent organisational skills and a structured, hands-on approach.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• DATEV experience is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent English is essential. German should be at least professional working proficiency, with a solid understanding of German accounting terminology.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and international environment.
