Who will you be joining?

We focus on protecting Allianz Group against disruptions through crisis readiness, response and post-crisis work, connecting risk and data management with the resilience framework. The role is based in Munich, Germany.

The Group Protection & Resilience team works to ensure the Allianz Group can withstand and recover from disruptions. We are looking for a Senior Expert for Risk and Data Management who can interconnect digital resilience domains and drive a permanent cycle of crisis readiness, responses and post-crisis work using risk and control implementation and data management.

How can you make an impact?

The Protection & Resilience function owns end-to-end incident and crisis readiness processes across multiple Subject Matter Expert functions. The Senior Expert for Risk and Data Management will drive cross-functional interconnections with permanent iterations, risk and control activities and data management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crisis readiness and business contingency through comprehensive oversight and interconnection of data, including threat intelligence, asset data and related response plans
• Support the governance bodies overseeing major incidents and managing a Group-wide crisis with involvement of senior management (Group Hybrid Fusion Center and Group Crisis Unit)
• Establish a permanent cycle of threat anticipation, asset criticality and end-to-end dependencies, in-time incident response support and post-crisis/incident learning
• Utilize data pools and extend where necessary to establish end-to-end data interconnections for security operations, incidents (IT and non-IT), risk mitigation or recovery
• Establish a risk and control system for all P&R domains, including triggers for threat-based testing and integration with the 2nd Line of Defense NFRM
• Monitor major incidents and provide cross-functional assessments, acting as the focal point of incident coordination at Group level and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Conduct systematic monitoring of crisis readiness maturity and threat-based risk controls, leading on-site and remote reviews
• Collaborate with Group centers and safeguarding functions, local Allianz entities, Allianz Services and Allianz Technology

Minimum Qualifications :

• 10+ years of operational/consulting experience in operational resilience and security (Crisis Management, IT and Cyber Incident Management, Business Continuity Management)
• At least seven years of hands-on experience in managing response measures and incident solutions
• Practical understanding of business in core financial services operations
• Graduate in Economics, Business, Legal, IT, Risk Management or Finance or comparable education
• Knowledge of relevant international standards; certifications are welcome
• Ability to build strong working relationships in virtual, international, and complex team environments
• Strong teamwork ethic, interpersonal and listening skills, analytical abilities, independent judgment, aim for win-win outcomes
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to convey complex information to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with high agility and adaptability
• Reliable, precise, analytical and conceptual with strong execution
• Strong communicator comfortable presenting and facilitating trainings
• Ability to work autonomously, including under high pressure
• Fluent English (written and spoken) mandatory
• Willingness to participate in incident monitoring beyond usual hours

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in business-related functions (e.g., Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment/Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/Tech)
• Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI and Ethical AI solutions
