This role combines strategic conceptual work with hands-on implementation. You will develop frameworks, governance models, and planning methodologies, and drive execution across the organization while collaborating with stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or comparable discipline.
• Minimum of five years in Strategic Workforce Planning with demonstrated implementation experience.

As Senior Expert People Analytics & Workforce Strategy (f/m/x) you will shape and implement SMS group’s global approach to strategic workforce planning, People Analytics, and HR Controlling.

This role combines strategic conceptual work with hands-on implementation. You will develop frameworks, processes, governance models, and planning methodologies while actively driving their execution across the organization. Working with stakeholders and senior managers worldwide, you will turn strategic objectives into practical solutions—often under high time pressure and within complex transformation projects.

These are the main activities:

• Translate business strategy into practical models for headcount, FTE, labor cost, skills, capacity, productivity, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Lead projects from concept through implementation, including scope definition, planning, milestones, risk management, decision-making, and delivery.
• Facilitate workshops, resolve conflicting requirements, and drive timely decisions across an international and matrix organization.
• Develop and implement requirements for workforce planning, reporting, analytics, data governance, and supporting technology solutions.
• Prepare management presentations, business cases, recommendations, and decision papers for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure the effective adoption, continuous improvement, and consistent application of global concepts and processes

YOU KNOW

You own a University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a comparable discipline and look back at a minimum of five years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, with a proven track record in developing and implementing a workforce planning framework. Furthermore, this is important to us:

• Strong experience in People Analytics, HR Controlling, workforce planning methodologies, process design, governance, and organizational transformation.
• Proven project management experience, including the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives under tight deadlines and high time pressure.
• Strategic thinker with a strong hands-on mentality and the ability to move quickly from concept to implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and align stakeholders, influence without formal authority, and work confidently with senior managers.
• Experience in an international matrix organization; knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or comparable solutions is advantageous.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, German language skills would be a plus.
• Willingness to be based in Hilchenbach or Mönchengladbach office - this is a hybrid working model, but not completely remote.
