OHB System AG in Bremen sucht einen Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Avionics & MTP, der als technischer Experte Projekte betreut und Leitung sowie Mentoring übernimmt. Sie arbeiten an anspruchsvollen Avionik-Projekten und tragen zu Konzepten, Entwicklung und technischer Bewertung bei.

Der Kandidat besitzt langjährige Erfahrung in Satellitenprojekten, starke Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und eine strategische, kostenbewusste Denkweise. Eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit Teams und externen Partnern wird erwartet.

Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium in einer relevanten Fachrichtung oder eine gleichwertige Qualifikation.
• Viele Jahre Berufserfahrung im jeweiligen Bereich mit tiefem technischem Verständnis – idealerweise in Satellitenprojekten.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse relevanter Standards, Prozesse und Methoden; Fähigkeit zu Arbeiten in komplexen Umgebungen.
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikations- und Analysefähigkeiten, problemlösungsorientiert, strukturiert und flexibel.
• Erfahrungen als technischer Leader, Mentor und Entscheidungsträger; Vorbildfunktion.
• Unternehmerische, strategische und ergebnisorientierte Denkweise mit Kostenbewusstsein und Risikominimierung.

Aufgaben

• Übernahme einer Schlüsselrolle als Experte in großen, komplexen Avionik- & MTP-Projekten.
• Bereitstellung fachlicher Führung und Unterstützung für das Team bei anspruchsvollen technischen Herausforderungen.
• Schnittstelle zu Projektbeteiligten, Lösung von Non-Conformances und technischen Problemen.
• Technische Führungsrolle in Forschung, Entwicklung und Technologieprojekten; Beiträge zu Angeboten, Kostenkalkulationen und Vorstudien.
• Weitergabe von Wissen durch Mentoring, Schulungen und Coaching sowie Leitung interner/externen Meetings.
• Aktive Mitgestaltung zukünftiger Technologiefokusbereiche.

Your Tasks

• Assumption of a key expert role in large, highly complex avionic & MTP projects with overall technical responsibility in line with the existing job description
• Representation of the discipline and provision of expert guidance and support to team members when addressing complex technical challenges and demanding project situations
• Anticipation, analysis, and resolution of non conformances, technical failures, and unforeseen issues across ongoing development projects
• Technical authority and leadership in research, development, and technology projects, as well as a leading role in the technical contribution to bids, cost estimations, and early concept studies
• Critical assessment of trade off studies, introduction and optimization of processes, workflows, software, and tools, and active shaping of future technology focus areas
• Knowledge retention and transfer through mentoring, training, and coaching, as well as leadership and support of internal and subcontractor meetings

Your Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline or a comparable qualification
• Many years of professional experience in the respective field with deep technical understanding across the entire department and experience throughout all phases of a satellite project
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards, processes, and methodologies, with the ability to perform effectively in complex environments with fluctuating workloads
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, strong problem solving orientation, well structured and organized working style, as well as flexibility and resilience
• Recognized technical leader and key reference person with strong decision making skills, innovative mindset, role model behavior, and experience in training and mentoring others
• Entrepreneurial, strategic, and results driven mindset with strong cost awareness, forward looking risk mitigation capabilities, and solid knowledge of customers, suppliers, competitors, and emerging technologies
