Zusammenfassung

OHB System AG in Bremen seeks a Propulsion Systems Engineer (m/f/d) to drive EP propulsion activities for new space projects. You will coordinate propulsion requirements and interfaces within the satellite platform and with subcontractors, while managing procurement for Thrusters, PPU, and Flow Control.

You will develop sizing analyses, establish verification concepts, and produce technical documentation. A degree in aerospace or physics and English proficiency are required.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in aerospace engineering, physics, or comparable qualification.
• Some years of experience in space EP propulsion.
• Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
• Accustomed to teamwork with good communication.
• Test experience would be advantageous.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Propulsion Systems engineer with focus on EP propulsion for new space projects in realization phase.
• Coordinate propulsion requirements and interfaces within the satellite platform and with subcontractors.
• Manage procurement activities for equipment (Thruster, PPU, Flow Control) with central procurement support.
• Perform analyses to size and support subsystem design.
• Develop verification philosophy and test requirements for platform testing.
• Generate technical documentation: specifications, analyses, reports.
• Plan, coordinate and control design and analysis activities.
• Support MAIT activities, LEOP phase, and proposal efforts.
• Assist associated technology developments.

Your Tasks

• Propulsion Systems engineer (focus is EP)for the development of new space projects in the realization phase
• As part of the satellite team,co-ordination of propulsion requirements and technical interfaces withinthe satellite platform and with the subcontractor
• Technical management ofprocurement activities for equipment (Thruster, PPU, Flow Control) fromsuppliers, with support by the OHB’s central procurement organization
• Performing analyses to size andsupport design of the subsystem
• Development of adequateverification philosophy on subsystem and equipment level, incl.specification of test requirements for platform testing
• Generation of technicaldocumentation, e.g. specifications, analyses, reports
• Planning, coordination andcontrol of design and analysis activities
• Support to subsystem MAITactivities and LEOP phase
• Support proposal activities
• Support associated technology developments

Your Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace engineering, physics or comparablequalification
• Ideally, some years of professional experience in spaceindustry in the EP propulsion domain
• Excellent conceptual and analytical skills
• Accustomed to work in teams with well-developedcommunication skills
• Test experience would be of advantage
• Experience in Systems Engineering and RequirementsEngineering
• Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skillsare advantageous
