OHB System AG – We.Create.Space in Bremen seeks a Systems Engineering Manager Space System Studies to lead architecture and data exchange efforts for space systems. You will work in an international team, apply model-based systems engineering and NATO standards, and support security-clearance readiness.

The role emphasizes collaboration, proactive planning, and delivering demonstrators and interface documents.

Qualifikationen

• Completed studies in aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience in defence and security systems engineering preferred.
• Experience with data exchange in missile defence systems is an asset.
• Strong planning and communication skills.

Systems Engineering Manager Space System Studies (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Analyse the externaland internal systems’ needs, missions needs, and customer requirements
• Define informationand data that shall be transferred within the system and with externalsystems based on NATO standards
• Derive differentsolutions for data dissemination within the system and with externalsystems (e.g. ground based radars, missile defence systems, civil systems)
• Negotiate thesolutions with other companies
• Define architectureoptions for data dissemination and perform trade studies for ground andspace system elements
• Specify the selectedsolution and option preferable in a model-based system engineeringapproach
• Implement one ormore possible solutions in a software demonstrator
• Write the interfacecontrol document for the selected solution and option
• Work in aninternational team of experts from OHB and project partners

Your Qualifications

• Completed studies (Diploma orMaster) in aerospace engineering, electronics, software development orequivalent qualification
• Ideally several years ofprofessional experience in defence and security systems engineeringprojects
• Ideally several years ofexperience in the data exchange of active or passive missile defencesystems
• Strong competence inself-organizing and work planning
• High motivation, pro-activeworking approach, and strong sense of responsibility
• Strong competence in working ina multicultural team
• Excellent communication,presentation, and documentation skills
• Experience with applicablestandards and processes (NATO)
• Ability and willingness toachieve a German security clearance
• Ideally, experience withmodel-based system engineering (MBSE)
• Fluency in both spoken andwritten English
