Huawei Technologies in Munich is seeking a Senior Engineer for Digital Signal Processing in Optical Networks. You will conduct innovative research and develop algorithms to advance modem technologies for high-speed, high-capacity networks.

The role requires PhD, at least 3 years in optical networking, strong Python/C skills, ML experience, and professional English. You will collaborate with a multinational team in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to attend major conferences.

Formación

• PhD in Electrical/Communications Engineering from a recognized university.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience after PhD in optical networking.
• Deep experience with optical communication systems, DSP, information theory, coding and ML.
• Proficiency in Python and C; experience coding with LLMs.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Your mission

• Conduct innovative research in optical communication and digital signal processing to advance modem technologies for high-speed, high-capacity networks.
• Develop and test algorithms to improve the performance of optical systems and signal processing techniques for coherent and direct-detect optics.
• Employ AI to accelerate innovation in algorithm performance and power consumption.

Key Qualifications

• PhD degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering at a recognized university on the topic of signal processing.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience after completing the PhD in optical networking.
• Deep experience with optical communication systems, digital signal processing, information theory, coding, and machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python and C; experience coding with LLMs.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
