Optimus Search is seeking a Senior Embedded Developer (Real-Time Systems) for the BW area. You will design and implement software components, bring up hardware, validate systems, and document interfaces to ensure robust integration with other modules.

You will also help establish system-wide validation, craft technical specifications, and contribute to testing strategies for signal waveforms used in advanced radio environments, with hands-on work on Linux and VxWorks platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• 5+ years of Embedded C++ development experience.
• Experience with RTOS such as VxWorks and Embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of Python for test automation.
• German and English fluency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software components, including development, system bring-up, validation, and seamless integration with hardware platforms and other software modules, while ensuring proper documentation of code structure, system architecture, and interface definitions
• Contribute to the setup and validation of complete system chains, including identifying and resolving issues during waveform development in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
• Create detailed technical specifications for sophisticated systems, with a particular emphasis on software design and architectural concepts
• Assist in defining and refining testing strategies and procedures, particularly for signal waveforms within advanced radio communication environments
• Develop low-level functionalities for devices operating within real-time environments, including platforms based on Linux, VxWorks, and other real-time operating systems

Desired Skills and Experience

• Completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• 5+ years of professional experience in Embedded C++ Development
• Experience in RTOS such as VxWorks and Embedded Linux
• Knowledge and experience in Python for test automation
• Ideally, experience within the Radio Communications domain
• Fluency in German and English is mandatory
