Job summary

Infineon Technologies seeks a Senior Director International Tax to lead the Group Tax team's global strategy. You will shape international tax planning, optimize financing structures, and manage tax risk for cross-border activities, including M&A and restructurings.

You will guide senior stakeholders, drive cross-functional collaboration, and champion process automation in a multinational setting. Fluency in German and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration or law with a recognized tax qualification.
• At least 10 years in consulting (Big Four preferred) or corporate tax leadership.
• Extensive experience advising multinationals on international tax planning.
• Strong track record in international M&A tax due diligence, structuring and integration.
• Deep knowledge of transformation and international tax law, corporate income tax and Gewerbesteuer.
• Ability to assess tax implications across functions (Supply Chain, Finance, Legal).
• Industry knowledge and basic corporate law understanding; works well in multinational teams.
• Excellent German and English written and spoken communication.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

In this role, you will lead the International Tax Team and hold global responsibility for the Group's international tax strategy, the tax planning and optimization of the legal Group and financing structure (particularly with cross-border implications), as well as tax efficiency and tax risk management for M&A activities and intra-group restructurings.

• Advise central functions and business units worldwide on international tax matters and developments, and manage all internal and external stakeholders during the implementation of measures
• Hold global responsibility for financing and dividend strategies
• Ensure tax efficiency and tax risk management for the entire Infineon Group, particularly for M&A projects and corporate restructurings
• Lead interdisciplinary and multi-functional projects
• Drive the automation and digitalization of processes within the department

Your profile

• A degree in business administration or law (or equivalent), and a passed qualification as a Tax Advisor (Steuerberaterexamen), Specialist Lawyer in International Tax Law (Examen als Fachanwalt für internationales Steuerrecht), or comparable qualification in Germany or abroad
• Possess at least 10 years of professional experience in consulting (ideally Big Four), in a comparable role in corporate finance, or in the tax department of a multinational corporation
• Have extensive experience advising other multinational corporations on national and international tax planning
• Demonstrate long-standing experience in international M&A transactions (including Tax Due Diligence, SPA Tax Advice, structuring, and integration)
• Possess profound knowledge of transformation law and transformation tax law (Umwandlungs- und Umwandlungssteuerrecht), as well as international tax law (Außensteuerrecht), corporate income tax law (Körperschaftsteuerrecht), and trade tax law (Gewerbesteuerrecht)
• Be able to accurately assess the impact of tax planning measures on other functions (e.g., Supply Chain, Value Flow, Accounting, Legal, etc.)
• Preferably possess basic industry knowledge and fundamental knowledge of corporate law (Gesellschaftsrecht), and enjoy working in multinational teams
• Have excellent communication skills in German and English, both spoken and written
