Job summary

MOTOR Ai GmbH in Berlin is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to advance our hybrid infrastructure. You will own Kubernetes administration, CI/CD improvements with Terraform and Ansible, and resource management across AWS EKS and NeoCloud providers.

Responsibilities include data lake training data governance, high-level technical consulting for development teams, and implementing robust monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus during core business hours.

Qualifications

• A completed degree in computer science, business informatics, software engineering, cloud computing, or an IT apprenticeship.
• At least 6 years of proven systems administration and DevOps experience in a modern setting.
• Mastery of Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and Ansible.
• Extensive experience with Terraform and monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking and identity providers such as Keycloak or Active Directory.
• A 'fix-it-once-and-automate' mindset with openness to new tools like GPUaaS.
• Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging NeoCloud providers into a hybrid strategy.
• A growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Fluency in English; German knowledge is a plus.

Tasks

• Handling the end-to-end administration of our Kubernetes environment and optimizing CI/CD pipelines through Terraform and Ansible
• Managing resources across AWS (EKS) and innovative NeoCloud providers to ensure a seamless, high-performance architecture
• Oversight of training data within a Data Lake, including the implementation of sophisticated filters for incoming streams and the removal of noise from training phases
• Serving as a high-level technical consultant to solve complex problems for development teams and streamline internal workflows
• Implementing and maintaining technical monitoring using Grafana and Prometheus to ensure high performance and stability during core business hours

Requirements

• A completed degree in computer science, business informatics, software engineering, cloud computing, or an IT apprenticeship
• A minimum of 6 years of proven experience in systems administration and DevOps and a proven track record in a modern DevOps environment
• Mastery of Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and Ansible
• Extensive experience using Terraform and frameworks such as Grafana and PrometheusDeep understanding of TCP/IP networking and identity providers like Keycloak or Active Directory
• A "fix-it-once-and-automate" mentality, combined with a high degree of openness toward new tools like GPUaaS
• The ability to evaluate and integrate emerging NeoCloud providers into a cohesive hybrid strategy
• A genuine love of learning and a proactive growth mindset that embraces trying new things and viewing mistakes as vital opportunities for technical evolution
• Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of German is an advantage
