devoba GmbH is an IT consulting company in Germany specializing in DevOps and Cloud Engineering. We seek a DevOps Consultant – Kubernetes Platform to own on-premise platforms end-to-end, from initial sketch to stable operations, across client projects.

You will design, build and operate Kubernetes platforms for enterprise clients, automate infrastructure with OpenTofu/Terraform/Pulumi, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines while ensuring secure and scalable deployments.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of hands-on DevOps in production, business-critical environments.
• In-depth Kubernetes experience: design, build and operate highly available clusters.
• IaC expert with OpenTofu, Terraform or Pulumi.
• Configuration management with Ansible, Puppet or OpenVox.
• Kubernetes & GitOps: Helm, Argo CD or Flux, ingress controllers and container images.
• Automation & monitoring: Prometheus/Grafana, Elastic Stack.
• Structured thinker able to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Fluent German and good English skills.
• Nice-to-have: public cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP), Python/Go/Java, CKA or consulting experience.

Your responsibilities: in exciting client projects

As a DevOps Consultant – Kubernetes Platform (m/f/d) you take on a key role in demanding client projects. You own on-premise platforms end-to-end – from the first sketch to stable operations.

• Building & operating Kubernetes platforms: You design, implement and operate highly available Kubernetes platforms for enterprise clients.
• Platform Operations: You own the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters (provisioning, upgrades, scaling, backup and disaster recovery) and ensure stable operations.
• End-to-end consulting: You act as a strategic partner for our clients, translating requirements into technical concepts and supporting their implementation.
• Infrastructure as Code: You automate infrastructure with OpenTofu, Terraform or comparable tools and establish reproducible platforms.
• Automation & CI/CD: You build standardized deployment pipelines and continuously optimize them for maximum efficiency.
• Security & Governance: You design secure network and architecture concepts within complex cluster environments.
• Innovation & Proof of Concepts: You evaluate new technologies for scalability and cost-effectiveness and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.

Your profile: as a DevOps Specialist

• Professional experience: Several years (min. 7 years) of hands-on DevOps experience in production, business-critical environments.
• Kubernetes expert: You have in-depth experience designing, building and operating highly available Kubernetes clusters in production enterprise environments. You can plan, set up, administer and continuously evolve clusters independently.
• Infrastructure as Code: You are an expert in managing complex infrastructure with common Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as OpenTofu, Terraform or Pulumi.
• Configuration Management: You have deep knowledge of distributing and configuring Linux systems via configuration management systems such as Ansible, Puppet or OpenVox.
• Kubernetes & GitOps: You have experience with Helm, GitOps (Argo CD or Flux), ingress controllers as well as building and optimizing container images.
• Automation & Monitoring: Proven experience building and operating monitoring and logging solutions (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, Elastic Stack)
• Architectural understanding: You bring a structured way of working and can convey complex technical concepts clearly.
• Language skills: You speak fluent German and have good English skills.
• A plus, not a must: First exposure to public cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP), knowledge of a programming language (Python, Go, Java) or relevant certifications (e.g. CKA) as well as first consulting experience.
