Qualifikationen

• Experience with early-stage project planning, PV layouts, string design and detailed engineering.

• Take technical responsibility for DC engineering and design across utility-scale Solar PV projects.
• Oversee early-stage engineering activities, including feasibility studies, PV layouts, string planning, system configurations and design optimisation.
• Support projects from initial development and conceptual engineering through detailed design, construction and implementation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering colleagues, ensuring high-quality design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with AC engineering, grid connection, development and construction teams.
• Develop and improve engineering standards, design processes and technical workflows.

The Opportunity

We are working with an established renewable energy company in Germany seeking an experienced Senior DC Engineer to take technical ownership of utility-scale Solar PV and co-located Battery Energy Storage projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on with technical design while taking on greater responsibility for engineering decisions, project delivery and the development of internal technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for DC engineering and design across utility-scale Solar PV projects.
• Oversee early-stage engineering activities, including feasibility studies, PV layouts, string planning, system configurations and design optimisation.
• Support projects from initial development and conceptual engineering through detailed design, construction and implementation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering colleagues, ensuring high-quality design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with AC engineering, grid connection, development and construction teams.
• Develop and improve engineering standards, design processes and technical workflows.
• Support the integration of co-located BESS into Solar PV projects.

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related discipline.

• Good understanding of the complete project lifecycle, from development through construction.
