Job summary

OMMAX GmbH in Munich is seeking a tech-focused consultant to advise on Tech & Data due diligences for buy- and sell-side transactions. You will analyze requirements, define specs, and translate them into actionable roadmaps for delivery teams.

You will assess software architectures and infrastructure, identifying growth potential and value creation for portfolio companies. The role emphasizes stakeholder management and collaborative problem solving in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• You hold a university degree in CS, Business, Economics, IT or related field.
• 2–3 years in technology consulting, transaction advisory, or digital transformation.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Hands-on software development and/or machine learning experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating tech-driven models.
• Excellent communication, collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.

Job description

What we look for:

• You advise private equity firms, financial investors, and companies on Tech & Data Due Diligences in buy- and sell-side transactions.
• You lead and support the conception and execution of technical and digital projects by analyzing requirements, defining functional specifications, and recommending best-fit solutions and implementation approaches.
• You assess software, system architectures, infrastructure, and development processes, and translate complex requirements into clear roadmaps (e.g., milestones, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) for delivery teams.
• You identify growth potential and derive performance optimization measures, including the design of target operating models, investment assessments, and value creation opportunities for portfolio companies.
• You manage stakeholder communication and ensure effective collaboration between clients, development teams, and internal stakeholders, while taking ownership of project timelines, budgets, and delivery.
• You prepare and present business, market, and technology insights, lead workshops and meetings, develop interactive demos, and contribute to thought leadership (e.g., whitepapers, research initiatives).

What we require:

• You hold a strong university degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, IT, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
• You have gained at least 2-3 years of relevant experience experience in technology consulting, transaction advisory, digital transformation, or technical project delivery, ideally within a consulting or M&A environment.
• You bring a solid understanding of software development, system architecture, infrastructure, and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), as well as familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Ideally, you have hands‑on experience in software development and/or machine learning.
• You demonstrate strong analytical skills in evaluating complex, technology‑driven business models and understand the impact of technology on scalability and product‑market fit.
• You have excellent communication skills, a collaborative and service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights.
• You are fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
