Jobtailor is seeking a Clinical Data Abstraction Specialist to support NSQIP registry submissions. You will apply clinical knowledge to categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry information from nuanced patient records, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance within data-entry workflows.

The role requires SCR certification, experience with EMRs, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines while collaborating with hospital partners.

Requirements

• Must have direct clinical data abstraction experience within the NSQIP registry in the past year
• Active SCR certification
• Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• High standards for accuracy and attention to detail
• Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records
• Clear communication and ability to adjust style and tone when collaborating with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others
• Strong self-organization and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and shifting timelines and priorities
• Ability to adapt to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments
• Ability to maintain PHI securely and confidentially
• Legal authorization to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship
• Direct clinical experience (preferred)
• RN, LPN, RT, or RCIS credentials (preferred)
