Cozero, a climate tech SaaS company, is seeking a Senior Climate Solutions Manager to help enterprise customers move from carbon data to actionable climate action.

You will lead consultative projects around decarbonization strategies, carbon accounting, and sustainability reporting, while collaborating with Product, Data and Climate teams. Fluency in German and English at C1 is required; hybrid work in Berlin or Munich.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Climate Solutions Manager to join our Climate Solutions team and help enterprise customers move from carbon data to meaningful climate action.

This is a highly customer-facing combining sustainability consulting, carbon accounting, decarbonization and SaaS customer delivery.

Your time will be split approximately 70% across customer projects and accounts and 30% across climate methodology and product-related work.

You will lead consultative projects around decarbonization strategies, transition planning, target setting and sustainability reporting, while also becoming a trusted advisor to customers on carbon accounting and climate methodology.

You will work closely with our Climate Expert and collaborate across Product, Data and Customer teams, bringing insights from real customer challenges back into our software and the way we work.

This is not a purely strategic advisory position. You will combine strategic conversations with hands-on work: analyzing emissions data, answering methodology questions, reviewing mappings and helping customers improve the quality of their carbon data.

For this role it is required to be fluent in German and English at C1 level.

What you’ll do:

• Lead consultative customer projects: decarbonisation planning, transition plans, target setting, and preparing customers for reporting. You shape how we run them and write down what works, so colleagues can run similar projects afterwards.

• Take on individual customer accounts where your background fits the account, including their health and renewal.

• Be the main counterpart for the sustainability, finance and operations teams at our customers.

• Answer customer questions across corporate climate action - accounting, reporting, decarbonisation, supplier engagement - and handle the bulk of them yourself, including the support that happens outside the platform: how customers can improve their data quality, reviewing mappings, and making sense of their own log data.

• Support in more strategic customer conversations.

• Translate standards and regulation - GHG Protocol, CSRD/ESRS, SBTi, transition planning - into concrete guidance for a specific company in a specific industry.

• Work directly with customer emissions data to identify data-quality gaps, understand emission hotspots and determine where the greatest reduction potential sits.

• Bring customer insights back to our Product, Data and Climate teams, helping shape product development and improve our internal processes.

You'll thrive in this role if you bring:

• Bring 3+ years of hands-on experience in corporate sustainability, ideally within sustainability consultancy, climate tech company in an advisory, solutions or customer-facing role.

• Have strong practical knowledge of corporate carbon accounting and the GHG Protocol, including Corporate Carbon Footprints (CCF), Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) and Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

• Have applied frameworks such as CSRD/ESRS, SBTi, supplier engagement and transition planning to real companies and real data.

• Have independently managed consulting or customer projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through delivery and completion.

• Are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and presenting recommendations to senior decision-makers.

• Have strong analytical skills and are comfortable working directly with complex sustainability and emissions data.

• Can explain not only your recommendation, but also the data and reasoning behind it.

• Are comfortable navigating methodological questions independently while recognizing when specialist input is needed.

• Learn new software quickly and enjoy working in a technology-driven environment.

• Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or similar tools as part of your day-to-day work.

• Enjoy building processes, frameworks and ways of working in an environment where not everything has already been defined.

• Combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mindset - you are just as comfortable shaping a decarbonization strategy as you are investigating a customer's data issue.

• Speak German and English fluently (C1 or above in both). Fluent German is essential because many of our customer projects and conversations take place in German, while Cozero's internal working language is English.

Nice to have

• Experience with the financial side of decarbonization, including abatement costs, business cases or internal carbon pricing.

• Previous experience working in a B2B SaaS or climate tech company.

• Industry expertise in manufacturing, retail, logistics or another sector with significant Scope 3 emissions.

• Experience with audits or assurance of sustainability and carbon data.

• Strong curiosity around data and technology. You don't need SQL, but being data-savvy will help you succeed
