Job summary

Triosys is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer in Berlin to build the software powering resilient hospital workflows. You will own features end-to-end, from requirements to deployment, and collaborate closely with hospital teams to translate real-world needs into robust backend solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on work with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Kubernetes.

We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to help build the software behind this mission. You’ll take ownership of features, work directly with hospital teams, and turn complex clinical requirements into reliable, intuitive software.

What You’ll Do

• Build and own features from initial requirements through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop resilient software that helps healthcare teams access critical information and keep essential workflows running during IT disruptions.
• Work directly with customers to understand hospital workflows, clarify needs, and translate feedback into product improvements.
• Shape our backend architecture with a focus on reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate across engineering and product to deliver a seamless experience, from backend services to the user interface.
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate development and improve quality, while taking responsibility for the code you ship.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, with strong Python skills.
• Experience building and operating production applications using PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills: you can discuss technical decisions with engineers and explain solutions clearly to customers.
• An ownership mindset: you move work forward independently, ask the right questions, and care about the details.
• Native experience using AI tools in your development workflow.
• A collaborative approach and comfort working in a startup where priorities evolve.
• You’re based in Berlin and enjoy working with the team in person.

Nice to Have

• German language skills, a strong plus for working with our customers.
• Experience in healthcare or health tech, ideally at a health startup.
• Frontend experience, particularly with React.
• Experience building secure, reliable software for regulated environments.
