Senior Backend Engineer (all genders) – PHP & Golang

Overview

Tasks

• Develop cutting-edge technology and design scalable and robust backend solutions for our Kaufland Marketplaces.
• Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from design and coding to testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and other engineers, communicating effectively to achieve common goals.
• Contribute to the evolution of development processes and methodologies, exploring new tools and technologies to enhance engineering practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, high-performance code and adhere to best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers in pair programming sessions, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Profile

• Education corresponding to completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, or physics, or comparable practical experience.
• Extensive experience in backend development with deep expertise in PHP and Golang.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, microservices architecture, and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive to continuously develop yourself and the team to improve every day.
• Excellent communication skills, willingness to embrace our company culture and values, and enjoyment of working in an international, English-speaking team.
