Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Revenue Analyst focused on GAAP revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting within the pharma supply chain. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and analyze GTN variances while maintaining strong customer relationships and compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities include data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.

• Prepare monthly revenue-related journal entries and reconcile ledger accounts using Excel models and the GTN software suite.
• Perform true-ups based on actual versus accrued contra-revenue GTN deduction items.
• Reconcile actual transaction data to accrual assumptions.
• Analyze and summarize gross-to-net variances, escalating complex variances as needed.
• Alert customers to potential business-impacting changes and track monthly/ quarterly metrics.

• Prepare monthly revenue-related journal entries and ledger account reconciliations using Excel models and the GTN software suite
• Perform true-ups based on actual versus accrued contra-revenue GTN deduction items
• Reconcile actual transaction data to associated accrual assumptions
• Analyze and summarize gross-to-net variances, escalating complex or ambiguous variances
• Alert customers to potential business-impacting changes
• Track, maintain, and report monthly and quarterly operational metrics
• Maintain regular professional communication with customer contacts
• Comply with internal policies and procedures to meet SOC1 compliance and customer SLAs
• Create on-time, quality deliverables while managing internal and external expectations
• Execute and maintain GTN data and calculations in the GTN software suite
• Perform ongoing maintenance and report deficiencies through established mechanisms
• Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues with guidance on complex matters
• Anticipate shifting customer needs and proactively raise issues
• Build relationships with customer IT, operations, and finance staff
• Partner with the GTN Advisory team on GTN-related data analysis, customer issues, and reconciliation variances
• Support cross-functional business teams and shared service goals
• Attend customer, department, and company meetings
• Support onboarding of new Analysts by sharing workflow, systems, and customer knowledge

Requirements

• Working understanding of GAAP principles related to revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting practices
• Developing knowledge of the pharma supply chain and contracting, including direct sales, chargebacks, rebates, and copay data
• Strong business analytical skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail
• Effective oral, written, listening, presentation, communication, and influencing skills
• Ability to balance multiple tasks with minimal oversight and prioritize based on team and project goals
• Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Ability to seek clarification when requirements are unclear
• Ability to adhere to processes and controls for routine internal/external audits
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Minimum B.A. / B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar
• 1–2 years of Life Sciences industry experience
• Accounting experience on the customer side or at a consultancy is a plus
• Knowledge or user experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or forecast tools is a plus
• Valid US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirement
