ZEISS Group in Oberkochen, Germany, is seeking a senior security engineer to shape end-to-end security across development, operations and product security.

You will serve as the central security contact interfacing between development teams, production IT/OT, and cloud AI systems, translating complex topics into secure, practical solutions while ensuring compliance with key standards like ISO 27001, IEC 62443, the Cyber Resilience Act and the EU AI Act.

Qualifikationen

Your Role

• Shape security end-to-end – from processes and architecture through to technical implementation within the development teams
• Act as the central point of contact for technical security at the interface between development, operations and Product Security
• Develop cross-functional security solutions and take responsibility for their implementation across development teams
• Work on security topics spanning traditional IT applications, production-related OT systems, and on-premises and cloud-based AI systems
• Establish a common security framework for a heterogeneous application and technology landscape

Your Profile

• A successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field
• At least five years of professional experience in IT/OT security
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Broad technical understanding of software development, architecture, infrastructure and operations
• Experience in secure software development and integrating security into development processes, ideally in the context of production-related systems
• Good understanding of relevant standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the EU AI Act
• A structured and solution-oriented approach, even when dealing with open-ended or complex challenges
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical topics and distill them down to their essential aspects
• Very good command of German and English
