Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH is seeking a security-focused professional to lead end-to-end security initiatives across development, operations, and product security teams.

You will shape security architecture for IT/OT environments, drive secure software practices, and ensure compliance with major standards and regulatory requirements.

The role combines hands-on security with strategic guidance across multi-domain tech stacks, in a dynamic, innovative setting.

Qualifikationen

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• At least five years of professional experience in IT/OT security.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Broad technical understanding of software development, architecture, infrastructure and operations.
• Experience in secure software development and integrating security into development processes, ideally in production-related systems.
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the EU AI Act.
• Structured, solution-oriented approach to complex challenges.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex topics and distill to essentials.
• Very good command of German and English.

Aufgaben

• Shape security end-to-end – from processes and architecture through to technical implementation within the development teams.
• Act as the central point of contact for technical security at the interface between development, operations and Product Security.
• Develop cross-functional security solutions and take responsibility for their implementation across development teams.
• Work on security topics spanning traditional IT applications, production-related OT systems, and on-premises and cloud-based AI systems.
• Establish a common security framework for a heterogeneous application and technology landscape.

Your Role
