Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a proactive Technical Sales Expert to drive FACTS turnkey projects from idea to signature. In this role you will lead technical sales for the global SynCon market, coordinate with engineering, tender and project teams, and engage with customers at senior levels.

You will travel internationally up to 20%, develop competitive budgets and pricing strategies, and partner with commercial experts to close contracts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering with focus on high-voltage engineering.
• Long-term sales experience in turnkey electrical energy transmission projects.
• Technical knowledge in FACTS; experience with Synchronous Condensers is a plus.
• Experience in generator scope of power plant business or transmission products is an asset.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.
• Experience leading cross-border teams.
• Fluent in English; German skills are a plus.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will develop FACTS turnkey projects from the first idea in customers mind till successful signature. These projects can be several hundred millions worth.
• Your prime task will be technical sales for the global SynCon Market. Furthermore, there are possibilities to support our growing business with influencing consultants and technical decider.
• You will carry out pre-qualifications and provide budget offers.
• You will prepare the sales strategy for projects including pricing.
• You will also be in the lead to negotiating and successfully close the contracts together with our commercial experts.
• Close cooperation with associated engineering, tender and project execution departments is the key to developing a tailored concept to the customers’ requirements as the basis for a successful project development.
• During the whole time, you will build up and maintain relationships by making frequent visits to our worldwide customers' decision makers. You will also cooperate with our regional organization providing local support and customer intimacy.
• As a technical sales expert, you will also consistently monitor market development in the assigned sales area and maintain the project lists on an ongoing basis.

What You Bring

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering, preferably with a focus on high-voltage engineering.
• Long term sales experience in electrical energy transmission turnkey solution business.
• Technical knowledge in the field of FACTS, especially Synchronous Condensers will be an absolute plus.
• Experience with generator scope of power plant business, high voltage engineering or respective transmission products will be an asset.
• Willingness for international travel and visits to customers plant sites for up to 20%.
• Experience in leading teams across country borders.
• Comfortable in presenting in front of customers and internal top management.
• Proficient in English. Additional German skills are a strong upside.
