About the Team

The Corporate Sales Development (CSD) team is made up of sales professionals developing the pipeline and supporting the field sales organization for the Workday suite of products. The engagement model is highly qualitative with interactions at the VP and C-Level proposing a disruptive and global solution. This role reports into the DACH Head of Corporate Sales Development in the global Sales Operations organization.

About the Role

Initially you will be responsible for a region in EMEA. In time there are opportunities for growth either into a broader role within the sales organization or in other areas of the growing business in Europe. Workday’s company culture actively encourages internal development; you will understand our Sales methodology and the competitive landscape and will receive the right training. You will manage your personal advancement with your manager on a regular basis.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a pipeline within a defined EMEA region, with outbound prospecting and engagement of business executives.
  • Coach and mentor the team in a player/coach capacity, and be willing to roll up the sleeves to get the job done.
  • Build and maintain remote relationships with stakeholders across different teams and countries.
  • Collaborate with leadership and participate in ongoing sales methodology training.
  • Support growth opportunities within the sales organization or other areas of the European business as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
  • Basic Requirement: 2-5 years experience in a Sales Manager role with leadership responsibilities.
  • Language skills: Fluency in German and English required (additional French skills a plus).
  • Recent experience developing a prospect pipeline through outbound prospecting and engaging business executives.
  • Experience building and maintaining remote relationships with stakeholders across different teams and countries.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent account management skills including the ability to analyze position and qualify opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial, creative, and highly analytical.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce; knowledge of Outreach, Gong, Tableau is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel when necessary.
