Rosenxt Creation Center GmbH in Bremen or Wietmarschen-Lohne seeks a Robotic Software Engineer to design trajectory planning for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) used in close-range maritime inspections.

You will develop ROS2-based algorithms in C++, validate them through simulations and field trials, and collaborate with academic partners. Flexible hours and home office options are available in a multinational research-driven environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in a technical field such as robotics, computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
• Ideally with a focus on maritime robotics or AUV-based inspection.

To strengthen our team at the location in Bremen or Wietmarschen-Lohne with flexible working time models and the option of home office we are looking for aRobotic Software Engineer - Maritime Robotics - AUV Trajectory Planning & Inspection (all genders welcome)As a Robotics Software Engineer, you are responsible for the trajectory planning of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) used for close range inspection of maritime infrastructure. You develop robust, ROS2 based algorithms and work closely with interdisciplinary teams and research partners to drive innovative solutions in underwater robotics.What you can expectYou design and implement algorithms for trajectory planning of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) with a focus on efficient close‑range inspection.You develop solutions for the inspection of critical underwater infrastructure (e.g. pipelines, offshore structures, energy and communication networks) and validate them for use under real‑world offshore conditions.You plan, support and evaluate simulations as well as maritime field trials and analyse relevant sensor and navigation data.You use modern software development environments and open‑source frameworks (in particular ROS2) as well as relevant libraries to implement and evaluate your algorithms.You work closely with universities and research institutions in the field of maritime robotics and autonomous systems and actively contribute to joint research and development projects.What you bringTo become part of the Rosenxt family, you stand out through an independent, structured and team‑oriented way of working as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.
