Zusammenfassung

Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) invites applications for an RF Design Engineer (f/m/d) to join its international, agile team in Augsburg, Germany. You will design and troubleshoot RF systems, define tests, and support integration across vehicle and ground systems.

Strong theory in RF, hands-on Python/C/C++, and English proficiency are essential. The role involves qualification testing, field or simulated validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet ECSS and RCC standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor or Master study in telecommunications/RF/microwave engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong foundation in digital RF communications theory: modulation, forward error correction, software defined radios, and DSP.
• Strong foundation in electromagnetic principles, antenna theory/design, transmission line theory, link margin analysis, electronics/embedded systems, and RF simulation.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages including Python, C, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Hands-on experience with wireless communications/telemetry systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of common test and troubleshooting equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analysers, and signal generators.
• Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)

About The Team

Our international and agile team is looking for support from a motivated person as a RF Design Engineer (f/m/d). You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Then apply for us.

The RF system (telemetry + flight termination) is broad and multidisciplinary, spanning the launch vehicle, ground systems, down-range ground systems, and satellite networks. You therefore need to be a high-performing generalist, who can work independently and autonomously as part of a small team.

Your Tasks

• Design and troubleshoot RF systems based on off-the-shelf components
