Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) in Augsburg, Germany seeks a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) to drive requirements, architecture and integration for expendable and reusable launch vehicles and ground systems. You will coordinate between vehicle, propulsion, software, avionics and ground systems teams to balance mass, cost, and reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, documentation, and tooling to improve day-to-day efficiency, with English as the working language and German beneficial.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering, physics or related discipline 2 to 4 years’ work experience in aerospace industry
• Knowledge of and passion for launch vehicle systems and operations
• Hands-on experience in student team projects, competitive events, hands-on projects is advantageous
• Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems, control systems, fluid and structure mechanics, and instrumentation, as well as how different disciplines interface with one another
• Good knowledge and practical experience with Python to create tools/automation scripts is beneficial
• Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English), German is beneficial
• Experience with requirements engineering and risk analysis (FMECA/FTA) is beneficial
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Highly organized and proactive approach to your work Maintain a positive and constructive attitude in the face of technical and non-technical challenges
