Aptiv PLC in Germany seeks a Radar Architect to define system architectures for FMCW radar, signal processing, and RF design. You will own end-to-end performance, set technical direction, and translate customer needs into roadmaps.

You will lead architecture reviews, guide multi-project teams, drive innovation, and collaborate with OEMs in an international, cutting-edge mobility environment. A strong background in radar, DSP, and RF systems is required.

Qualifikationen

• Expertise in FMCW radar, Pulse-Doppler, MIMO, and Digital Beamforming.
• Experience with radar perception and multi-sensor architectures.
• Ability to translate requirements into radar system architectures and roadmaps.

• Leads resolution of critical system-level technical challenges.
• Drives innovation, intellectual property generation, and next-generation radar technologies.
• Influences product strategy and technology investments.
• Provides technical leadership across multiple projects and engineering organizations.
• Represents the organization in customer, supplier, regulatory, and executive-level technical discussions.
• Coaches and develops senior technical talent across the radar organization.

Radar Architecture Expertise

• FMCW Radar Architectures, Pulse-Doppler Radar, MIMO Systems, Digital Beamforming Systems
• Multi-Sensor Architectures, Radar Perception Systems, Distributed Radar Systems.
• Ability to architect complete radar systems from concept through production.
• Strong understanding of radar performance budgeting and system optimization.

Signal Processing Expertise

• Detection Theory, Statistical Signal Processing, Estimation Theory, Advanced Tracking
• Adaptive Signal Processing, Clutter Suppression, Interference Mitigation, AI/ML Applications for Radar, Sensor Fusion, Ability to define and evaluate novel radar processing approaches.

RF Systems Expertise

• RF and Microwave System Design, Receiver Architecture, Transmitter Architecture,
• Antenna Systems, Array Processing, EMC/EMI, mmWave Radar Design, Calibration Architectures
• System-Level RF Performance Optimization

Leadership & Business Competencies

• Exceptional technical leadership and influencing skills, ability to drive architectural alignment across organizations, Strong customer-facing communication skills, Ability to balance technical, business, cost, schedule, and product objectives.
