Qualifikationen

  • Engineering degree in Electric Engineering or Software Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with real-time control of radar instruments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of functional processes architecture and radar instrument interfaces is desirable.
  • Experience with modelling & simulation tools (e.g., Matlab/Python) is an asset.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams is an asset.
  • Experience with ECSS standards is an asset.
  • Experience with Radar Payloads is an asset.
  • Fluent in English; German is an asset.

Aufgaben

  • Analyze requirements for radar instrument operating modes, functions, control sequences, and real-time timing.
  • Define the radar instrument's functional architecture.
  • Define functional requirements for instrument units and modules.
  • Contribute to requirement specifications for radar instrument software.
  • Define functional requirements for FPGA Firmware.
  • Define the Functional Verification strategy at instrument level.
  • Collaborate with Payload System Eng., Software Eng., Hardware Design, and Algorithm Eng.
  • Develop nominal and contingency operational procedures.
  • Support R&D activities within the department (planning and execution).
  • Support design reviews with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Analysis of requirements for a radar instrument regarding required operating modes, functions, control sequences, and radar real-time timing.
  • Definition of the radar instrument's functional architecture
  • Definition of functional requirements for the radar instrument units and modules
  • Contribute to the requirement specifications for the radar instrument software
  • Definition of functional requirements for FPGA Firmware
  • Definition of the Functional Verification strategy at instrument level.
  • Close cooperation with Payload System Engineering,Software Engineering, Hardware Design and Algorithm Engineering
  • Development of nominal and contingency operational procedures
  • Support for R&D activities within the department (planning and execution)
  • Support design reviews with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers
Desired skills and qualifications
  • Engineering Degree in Electric Engineering, Software Engineering or similar
  • Experience in steering (real-time control) of radar instruments is desirable
  • Knowledge of the functional processes architecture and internal command, control and telemetry interfaces of radar instruments or comparable complex electrical systems is desirable
  • Experience with modelling & simulation tools (e.g. Matlab / Python) is an asset
  • Experience in leading cross functional technical teams is an asset
  • Experience with ECSS communication and interface standards is an asset
  • Experience with Radar Payloads is an asset
  • Fluent in English, German is an asset
