Job summary

Gulp Ag in the Lake Constance region, Germany, seeks a responsible Quality Expert to drive quality management across development and production, from conception to series production. You will independently manage project-relevant quality tasks to ensure performance, schedule, and budget targets are met with minimal risk.

You will ensure process compliance with V-model development, DO-254/178/278, and participate in validation, certification, and QM documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, information technology, engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of practical experience in quality and/or project management.
• Solid experience in electronics, hardware or system development.
• Experience in software development and aviation certification.
• Knowledge of development processes such as the V-model and DO-254/DO-178/DO-278.
• Familiarity with DIN EN 9100 and AQAP; ECSS knowledge and tools like FMEA, Ishikawa, 8D, RCA, PDCA or Kanban.
• IT skills: SAP and MS Office.
• Fluent German and English.

Responsibilities

Process compliance: You will ensure the effective application of defined development processes, taking into account all contractual customer requirements. Life-cycle support: You will actively participate in the planning and implementation of quality-related milestones throughout the entire product life cycle. QM Documentation & Reviews: You create project-related QM documents such as QM plans, process assurance plans, and test flowcharts, and conduct reviews of development and verification documents. Validation & Certification: You support validation, verification, and certification processes for systems, subsystems, and equipment. Software Quality Assurance: You are responsible for software-related quality activities and conduct acceptance testing of milestones in accordance with relevant aviation certification standards.

• Education: Successfully completed technical studies (at least Bachelor's degree) in electrical engineering, information technology, engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience in project and quality management: Several years of practical experience in quality and/or project management.
• Engineering background: Solid experience in electronics, hardware or system development.
• Software & Aviation Certification: Experience in software development (ideally in quality and process assurance) as well as in the certification of civil or military aviation equipment.
• Development processes & standards: Sound knowledge of common development processes such as the V-model as well as RTCA/DO-254, DO-178 and DO-278.
• Quality methods & standards: Familiarity with requirements management, problem-solving methods, DIN EN 9100 and AQAP; ideally knowledge of ECSS Product Assurance Standards and tools such as FMEA, Ishikawa, 8D, RCA, PDCA or Kanban.
• IT skills: In-depth user knowledge of SAP and proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong communication skills: Fluent German and English skills.
