Zusammenfassung

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer (m/f/d) for Operations & Strategy in a manufacturing environment in Germany. You will analyze quality metrics, lead continuous improvements, and collaborate across Production, Purchasing and Engineering to ensure robust quality across the value stream.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, strong quality management experience including APQP, and fluent German and English (C1+).

Qualifikationen

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with focus on quality management.

Aufgaben

  • Analyze, evaluate, and visualize quality performance indicators (e.g., FPY, SRR, Customer PPM) and drive improvements with Quality Engineers
  • Support development projects with focus on error prevention and process robustness using APQP toolset
  • Own non-conformance management, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions
  • Coordinate and facilitate resolution of production-related quality issues
  • Lead handling of customer concerns and root cause analysis with preventive actions
  • Act as trusted advisor to production teams on all quality-related matters
  • Support cross-functional projects within the value stream
  • Interface between Production, Purchasing, Engineering and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to development and optimization of inspection and QA processes
  • Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement and maintain company-specific quality processes and standards
  • Support the Quality Manager in evaluation and improvement of the management system

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, and visualize quality performance indicators (e.g., First Pass Yield, SRR, Customer PPM) and drive measurable improvements in cooperation operative Quality Engineers
  • Support development projects with a focus on error prevention and process robustness using APQP toolset
  • Own and manage the non-conformance management process, ensuring timely resolution and sustainable corrective actions
  • Coordinate and facilitate the resolution of production-related quality issues
  • Lead the handling of customer concerns and complaints, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures
  • Act as a trusted advisor to production teams on all quality-related matters
  • Support cross-functional projects within the designated value stream organization
  • Serve as a key interface between Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the strategic development and optimization of inspection and quality assurance processes
  • Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement and maintain company-specific quality processes and standards
  • Support the Quality Manager in the regular evaluation and continuous improvement of the management system

What You Bring

  • Degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a comparable technical qualification (e.g., Master Technician)
  • Professional experience and training in Quality Management and quality-related methodologies mandatory including APQP
  • Experience in KPI management and improvement projects
  • Experience in project management / coordination
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to take ownership, influence stakeholders, and drive change effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across different organizational levels
  • Fluent German and English language skills are essential (C1+)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
