Job summary

A leading engineering services provider in Duisburg seeks a Project Quality Engineer. This role involves monitoring project quality, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with specifications. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality and at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in oil and gas or EPC projects. Offering flexibility in work hours and a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities assigned to this position (but not limited to) also include:

• Review customer contract & specification during project for quality aspects like (country specific) certifications, product safety etc.
• Support the PM in presenting deviations to customer and obtain approvals for NCRs
• Ensure proper documentation to prove resolution of punch items
• Review quality items in supplier contracts, incl supplier ITP
• Coordinate Quality Plans for Project (including project ITP)
• Monitor the fulfilment of the project requirements
• Participate in PACT workshops to raise & communicate quality risks
• Participate in Risk & Opportunity Assessments (ROA) and updates.
• Support Customer through creation of Site Quality Plans
• Attend inspections and tests as required or requested
• Support and monitor Quality Gates
• Support customer audits for the project and secures that applicable processes are adhered to
• Release final Quality Documentation package for customer
• Support the Lessons Learned process (capture and implement)

Work Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Quality field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, including experience in oil and gas, power plant or EPC projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Quality requirements and strict adherence to them in the rotating machines industry.
• Ability to analyze data with a broad view in developing creative issue resolution
• Strategic thinking and creative problem solving
• Enjoy working within a global team in an inclusive, supportive and engaging way
• Enjoy working with change management and have an innovative and quality-oriented mindset
• Ability to travel internationally
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Fluent English (written and spoken)
