Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Quality Engineer for Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement within its Quality & Excellence team in Munich. You will lead systematic problem-solving using Thinking 6 Sigma and 8D, foster a strong failure culture, and drive cross-functional initiatives in test technologies.

With 6+ years in semiconductors, you will guide workshops, moderate 8D/5-Why sessions, and collaborate with management to scope strategic quality projects.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, materials science, physics, mathematics, statistics or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in semiconductors with knowledge in test equipment, test development and operations.
• Willingness to obtain or renew T6S Green Belt certification after hiring.
• Strong expertise in 8D, root cause analysis (5-Why, Ishikawa) and DMAIC project methods.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional environments without direct authority.
• Fluent English and German (written and spoken).
• Experience in training and coaching roles.

Aufgaben

• Drive systematic thinking 6 Sigma + 8D approach as standard problem solving in TTI, fostering a positive failure culture.
• Build and sustain a T6S community; lead advanced T6S initiatives across functions.
• Moderate 8D and 5-Why sessions; facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams.
• Support management to identify project ideas from targets and scope into executable projects; consult on quality matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in the quality management system.
• Contribute to TTI's strategic quality roadmap and close gaps.
• Consolidate training needs and propose measures for different belt levels.
• Occasional travel between sites to understand pain points and support implementation.

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed You will be the driver for systematic problem-solving and quality excellence in our Test Technology & Innovation (TTI) organization. You will promote critical quality leadership capacity and enable TTI to fulfil its mandate to own Quality at Test. For this, you should have experience moderating cross-functional problem-solving teams, as well as excellent facilitation and moderation skills for workshops and problem-solving sessions. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics , or related technical field 6+ years of experience in semiconductors with knowledge in Test Equipment and, Test Development and Operations Willingness to obtain or renew T6S Green Belt certification after hiring Strong expertise in 8D methodology and root cause analysis (5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.), and experience with DMAIC project methodology Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills Proven leadership in cross-functional environments without direct authority S trong communication and stakeholder management abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives Fluent English and German (written and spoken) – required for international collaboration, local operations and stakeholder engagement Previous experience in training and coaching roles
