NECT in Hamburg is seeking a QA Manager to build the QA strategy from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership to create test plans and ensure quality in all applications, including iOS and Android apps.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in QA management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage defect processes and coordinate testing activities effectively.

Development and implementation of the QA strategy

• iOS App
• Android App
• Websites
• Machine Learning Services
• Eventually also the APIs and the specification

Defect Management

• Retrieve defect descriptions from our users, customers and internal sources
• Turn them into proper bug tickets
• Make them reproducible and manage them through the lifecycle

Test-Plans and -Management

• Close collaboration with Product- and Engineering-Manager
• Create and maintain test plans
• Coordinate test runs
• Assume QA Tester role where necessary

Test Automation

• Eventually we strive for automation, if this is a topic for you, you can take the driver seat

Reporting

• Provide reports and recommendations to Product- and Enginnering leadership
• Maintain an overview of trends and provide insights

Close collaboration with Engineering Teams

• Ensure seamless integration of QA into the development process
• Help the engineering teams to understand the defects and their severity
• Analyse defects and provide re-pro where possible

Qualifications

• Excellent experience in QA Management (3 yrs+)
• Able to manage QA Tester, internal, external and getting help from other teams
• Clear communication skill
• Excellent collaboration skills
