Axel Springer Tech is seeking a QA Manager for mobile app quality assurance and automation. You will own the QA strategy, drive scalable testing, and mentor engineers while collaborating with developers, product owners, and designers in a Scrum environment.

Fluent English is required; German is a plus but not mandatory. The role combines hands-on testing with team leadership in a hybrid setup at our Berlin area offices.

Job Description

• by owning the QA strategy and execution end to end, you shape our app development process
• through scalable manual and automated testing, you drive innovation across our mobile apps
• as a mentor and sparring partner, you support QA engineers and working students while fostering team growth
• in close collaboration with developers, product owners, and designers, you deliver high-quality features through our Scrum process
• by designing and evolving test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks, you ensure stability and scalability
• with a proactive approach to quality, you identify, track, and help resolve bugs and issues in Jira
• through comprehensive regression, integration, and end-to-end testing, you safeguard product quality
• using tools such as Charles Proxy, Crashlytics, and analytics platforms, you monitor and optimize app performance continuously

Qualifications

• as a seasoned QA Manager, you bring deep expertise in mobile app quality assurance, test automation, and agile leadership
• with hands-on experience in Appium, TestSigma, or similar frameworks, you confidently integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
• through practical experience in manual testing, you create test cases and maintain clear documentation
• within agile environments, you apply Scrum methodologies confidently and effectively
• when working with Jira, Charles Proxy, and test management systems, you navigate QA processes with ease
• as a strong communicator, you foster collaboration across teams and support others through mentoring
• with fluent written and spoken English, you communicate effectively in an international environment, German is a plus but not required
