Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior QA Engineering lead to own QA strategy for a major digital platform modernization. You will lead a four-person client QA team and establish testing infrastructure with Chromatic and Storybook, and develop cross-workstream test plans.

You will implement approaches for accessibility, cross-browser testing, and API integration, coordinate environments, and define acceptance criteria, while mentoring teammates and reporting metrics.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of QA / Quality Assurance Engineering experience.
• 2+ years in test automation or automation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with visual regression testing tools (Chromatic, Percy, or similar).
• Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, or maintaining Storybook in a production environment.
• Experience testing to WCAG 2.2 or 2.1 AA standards.
• Familiarity with axe-core, Lighthouse, or manual audit techniques.
• Comfortable reading/debugging GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent pipeline configurations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or managing 5-10 team members, or demonstrated readiness to lead.
• Experience testing design systems, component libraries, or isolated UI elements.
• Understanding of front-end–backend contracts, API testing, and debugging integration failures.

• Troubleshoot configuration issues and maintain testing tools as the codebase evolves
• Establish baseline snapshots and visual-change review workflows
• Oversee component, functional, regression, cross-browser, accessibility, and integration testing
• Define test scope and prioritize coverage based on risk and business impact
• Mentor four client QA resources and direct testing activities
• Partner with developers on test data preparation and environment readiness
• Communicate quality metrics, defect trends, and blockers to Merkle and client stakeholders
• Manage scope creep and push back on out-of-scope requests
• Establish defect logging, triage, and tracking processes
• Triage, prioritize, track, and retest defects through closure
• Provide clear bug summaries with reproducible steps and root-cause analysis where possible
• Focus initial deployment on the home page, header, footer, navigation, and one additional PDP/PLP page
• Plan phased expansion post-launch
• Establish QA strategy, tooling, environment plans, browser support, accessibility baselines, training, test coverage, and reporting cadence during the first 90 days

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA / Quality Assurance Engineering experience
• 2+ years in test automation or automation engineering
• Hands-on experience with visual regression testing tools (Chromatic, Percy, or similar)
• Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, or maintaining Storybook in a production environment
• Experience testing to WCAG 2.2 or 2.1 AA standards
• Familiarity with axe-core, Lighthouse, or manual audit techniques
• Comfortable reading/debugging GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent pipeline configurations
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

• Performance testing or monitoring experience (nice to have)
• Experience mentoring QA teams across time zones or distributed teams (nice to have)
