Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Quality Engineer leader to own and evolve the company-wide quality engineering roadmap. You will define a quality accountability framework across engineers, EMs, and PMs, and shape test strategy across unit to end-to-end, including performance, accessibility, and mobile testing.

• Own and evolve the company-wide quality engineering roadmap.
• Develop a quality accountability framework defining responsibilities for engineers, EMs, and PMs.
• Establish test strategy across unit, component, contract, API, end-to-end, mobile, performance, load, and accessibility testing.
• Develop and advance AI-native quality tooling, including AI agents and skills for test generation, code review, and quality guidance.
• Own CI/CD and test infrastructure, including required checks, quality gates, E2E and visual regression pipelines, performance budgets, and mobile test automation.
• Decide which checks block deployments and which run asynchronously while keeping pipelines fast.
• Connect monitoring to incident response and build actionable production-quality dashboards.
• Provide technical mentorship to QA engineers across squads and provide input to their Engineering Managers for performance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement of quality standards, tooling, and QA squad practices.
• Measure and improve flakiness, pipeline cost, and synchronous versus asynchronous test execution.
• Ship new AI-native quality capabilities and communicate the quality vision across product teams.

Requirements

• Experience using AI to generate tests and applying AI tools beyond personal productivity
• Experience setting up agentic tooling such as Claude Code or MCP-based workflows
• Ability to design testing approaches appropriate to a team’s maturity and context
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining component, contract, API, end-to-end, and performance test suites
• Experience with CI pipelines, test automation, and infrastructure troubleshooting
• Ability to coach engineers on testing practices and run enablement sessions
• Willingness to personally build CI pipelines and tooling
• Ability to influence and mentor QA engineers across squads without direct reports
• Hiring, coaching, and performance management experience for QA or engineering teams is a plus
• Ability to work with US-facing partners and overlap hours
